The free standalone DX9, DX11 and GDI viewers are separate programs without a serial licence. Live Hub offers a different path with simulator profiles and shared displays on other PCs. Choose your setup first.
Requirements
- Standalone viewer: for local BMS MFD displays without Live Hub management. Download only the variant you need.
- Live Hub on the simulator PC: manage MFDs together with DED, other instruments and simulator profiles.
- Live Hub with a client PC: use a separate display computer on your local network. Requires BMS module, client module and data permissions.
Step-by-step setup
- Start a BMS flight. Configure the BMS image export/RTT source using the documentation for your BMS version.
- Download and launch the standalone viewer, or open the MFD page in the BMS module and detach a display.
- Compare left and right MFDs separately. Change an MFD page in BMS: the detached image must follow.
- Keep the display square and undistorted. In Live Hub, drag to move, Ctrl + mouse wheel for fine resizing and right-click for window options. These controls do not necessarily apply to every standalone viewer version.
Troubleshooting
- Black image despite live flight values: check the separate RTT image source. Working Shared Memory does not prove MFD export.
- Which variant is fastest? There is no reliable universal ranking without measuring your setup. DX9, DX11 and GDI name display paths, not BMS versions.
- For support, provide BMS version, viewer version, display path and a screenshot. For Live Hub, say whether the issue is at server or client.
